Kit Larson

Kit
has a passion for Northern Minnesota. He truly believes
it has as much or more to offer then any other state. Every
season has something special about it and he enjoys trying
to capture photos that depict what that is. He's a Systems
Analyst for a large insurance company in Minneapolis and
treasures the times he can get up North closer to Nature.
While in Alaska in the early 70’s, he witnessed part
of a sleddog race near Galena on the Yukon river and found
it fascinating. Later that race became the annual Iditarod
race. Then, about four years ago, he thought he would see
if there were some photo possibilities in the John Beargrease
race. He found the photo possibilities and fun endless and
now takes a vacation every year to follow the race. His
favorite photo subjects in the race are the sleddogs. The
different personalities, types and antics are endless. They
truly love and live to race.
